About Me

Sai is a seasoned urban planner and designer with a strong focus on the urban ecology, spatial analysis, and resilience. Hailing from Muscat, Oman, he earned his Masters in Urban Design with honors from Carnegie Mellon University and Bachelors in Architecture from Syracuse University. His professional journey led him to Mumbai, where he dedicated two years to diverse projects encompassing residential, mixed-use, and low-cost township developments. Sai's expertise lies at the intersection of cutting-edge GIS mapping analysis and urban planning, where he seamlessly integrates technology to enhance sustainable and resilient urban environments.

 

Most recently, Sai achieved Living Future Accreditation from the International Living Future Institute to deepen his understanding of the Living Building Challenge and stay at the forefront of sustainable design practices. He is also actively pursuing certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), further solidifying his professional credentials.

Fun Facts: 

Sai climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 2010 to raise awareness about children with autism.

He spent a summer in high school building a school dormitory with rammed earth construction in Ladakh, India.

Sai is an avid photographer, he has published a book on people photography, and is working on 2 more – one on architectural details and another on street graffiti.
